Filmmaker Carlos Farrera captures the latest adventure of the Costa brothers in a groundbreaking audiovisual project by Blue Banana in collaboration with Cafe Racer Dreams.
Barcelona, June 4, 2025. What would you do if you only had seven days to live? That’s the question that kicks off Apocalypse, a new documentary project launched by Blue Banana in partnership with Cafe Racer Dreams (CRD). This capsule collaboration not only features three custom dream bikes and a limited-edition clothing collection, but also a real journey across the Mauritanian desert that redefines the concept of two-wheeled adventure.
Directed by Carlos Farrera and starring the Costa brothers — Santi, a MotoGP engineer; Alex, preparing to ride across Africa in 100 days; and Carlos, who runs a surf house in Africa and Asia — Apocalypse is more than a documentary: it’s a punch to the chest.
The trio faces three of the worst sandstorms ever recorded in Mauritania, manages to board the Iron Train — the world’s longest and most extreme freight convoy — and travels across endless kilometers of solitude, dust, and adrenaline, with their bikes as their only companions.
Amid impossible landscapes, improvised mechanics, and an aesthetic that feels straight out of Mad Max, the story turns into an urgent reflection: how many of us are still postponing the trip of a lifetime?
Now available online following a special premiere in Barcelona, the project concludes with the giveaway of one of the custom bikes, valued at over €30,000. A one-of-a-kind piece that embodies the radical spirit of the project — and of a journey that pushed body, mind, and machine to the limit. More details will be shared on both brands’ social media channels starting June 15.
Blue Banana’s philosophy: living fearlessly at the edge
Blue Banana has spent years collaborating with athletes and adventurers who challenge conventions, reject routine, and explore the world differently. In Apocalypse, that vision enters the motorcycling world through CRD, delivering a clear message: don’t wait for the apocalypse to start living.
More about the bikes
A CRD bike is as special as it is unique. Just ask Xabi Alonso, David Beckham, or any true motor enthusiast. The Costa brothers know it too — they rode the bikes of their lives across Mauritania on the CRD128, CRD135, and CRD2022.
