Cafe Racer Dreams is back with its latest creation, number 135. In this case, CRD has taken a 1982 BMW R 100 to create a machine with a scrambler aesthetic thanks to the wide, high handlebars and a set of studded tires, classic TKC 80’s, and a two-up seat. The combination gives a ride position that is comfortable for both pilot and passenger.

Another feature that is habitual in off roaders is the rear number plate and the 135 bears the logo of the motorcycle owner’s company. This is the just the special type of detail that CRD has to offer in addition to the design, décor and components. The logo is of a company producing handcrafted knives which, of course, led the 135 to become known at CRD as “The Blade”…

Up front, CRD opted for the top quality components habitual in its creations, with tried and true performance and an aesthetic punch that is a perfect fit for this type of machine. There is a set of black, 43mm inverted Showa forks with three settings, fitted with 4-piston radial callipers biting into 320mm discs. This gives the 135 a spectacular performance and a powerful look to the front end, rounded off with some of the components seen in other special CRD machines including the custom yoke in machined Alzintok 75, designed to house the turrets of the raised handlebars. The rear is fitted with a pair of YSS shocks, also in black, for a matching chromatic style throughout.

The scrambler aesthetic can also be seen in the custom fenders in brushed aluminium, perfectly matching the adjustable Supertrapp pipes that give the 135 its distinct and personal sound. Of course, CRD has paid its usual painstaking attention to every detail, looking to LSL, Highsider and Motogadget for the brake fluid reservoir, rear views and instruments.

The sedate gas tank is contrasted with a pair of Biltwell grips that match the buffalo hide seat. The #CRD135, “The Blade” has a touch of the classic off roader; ready for any terrain with a comfortable ride, top quality components and the kind of custom details that make every CRD machine unique.
