Pedro wanted to do a motorcycle trip to Morocco and for that he decided to buy a BMW R1100GS and as he was not going to leave it comes from the factory, we started to think about what CRD42 Cafe Racer was going to be like.
The R1100GS is an extremely reliable and very comfortable bike to ride during long hours on rocky roads, but it is not a beautiful bike. That’s why we contacted our friends at Holographic Hammer to give us a hand with the design and after that we would take care of carrying this design out.
The core of the bike was left intact but the chassis was refinished with the most powerful powder-coat that we could find in order to protect it from corrosion, several parts of the bike like the oil cooler were changed. A headlamp from a Ducati Monster and Continental TKC80 were installed and after that voilá CRD42 Cafe Racer had been born.
