Since our start in 2010, we were committed to building the “best cafe racers in the world”, something we believe to have mastered after years of hard work, dedication, and most of all passion. With CRD104 BMW R100 we wanted to bring that initial dream to life.
CRD104 was commissioned by a professional soccer player based in Spain. The brief was to produce a BMW “for every day use” that kept that mysterious yet classy look. We went for an ominous black tank, and crimson red knee pads and its well-padded seat. The choice of color aimed to come with a dose of style and desirability.
The donor bike was a BMW R100 from 1983. As with all of our builds, we completely dismantled it, just to bring it back to life. A new subframe and fenders have been fabricated and replaced. The electrical system has been completely rewired, with switches and a speedo from Motogadget m-Unit. Black phantom hand grips from Biltwell have been replaced from the original BMW ones. We have also improved the bikes suspension by changing its original fork for an inverted Suzuki Hayabusa 1.000cc.
