We’re sure that many of you know, or at least you’ve heard of the popular artist, Okuda. Who besides having left his mark in places as diverse as Yakutsk (Russia) or Papete (French Polynesia), has participated in projects with clients such as Telefonica or Nike.

But many of you may not know that Okuda did a collaboration with Cafe Racer Dreams, in which he painted five surfboards with his famous Kaos Star.

This collaboration was the result of the good relationship between Okuda and the CEO of Cafe Racer Dreams, Jaime Colsa, who in addition to both being from the spanish region of Cantabria, have participated together in projects such as Truck Art Project, PBX Creativa, The Art Bike and more recently The Art Law.

The Okuda surfboards were painted on the cliff of Cuchía, an impressive environment, well known by the artist who often visits this place, away from the crowds of the big cities that he usually visits.

We consider that these paintings, made on such an unusual canvas, are meant to decorate an office or a home, rather than to surf the waves of the sea.

They were made using Okuda’s usual technique, in which he uses the mythical Montana 94 sprays to apply multiple layers of paint. They were coated afterwards with a transparent layer of epoxy to improve their conservation and feel, which, in our opinion, it’s just perfect.
